Sleep is the training tool nobody talks about

You cannot out-train a short night. Growth hormone, tissue repair, and the mood that gets you to the 6 a.m. class all clock in after lights out — which is why the most expensive supplement in the studio is still a dark room and a boring bedtime.

A close-down that actually closes

Dim the kitchen an hour before bed, put the phone in another room, and keep caffeine on the morning side of noon. If you train late, swap the pre-workout for a smaller session or a mobility flow.

A warm shower and two minutes of nasal breathing on the floor is enough for most people. Rituals that take forty minutes do not survive a real week.

When sleep is the training

After a personal best, a long run, or a week of poor nights, cut volume before you add gadgets. An extra hour in bed beats an extra accessory lift.

If you snore, wake gasping, or never feel restored, talk to a clinician. Coaching cannot fix an airway.
