Why we stopped adding extra actives and started measuring how skin feels at 4 p.m.
Most formulas fail after lunch, not in the first hour. We started timing tightness at 4 p.m. and threw out anything that needed a second cream to stay comfortable.
Measure the afternoon, not the first minute
A serum can look impressive in a sink-side video and still leave cheeks tight after a meeting. We ask testers to send a note at 16:00, not 08:10. If the face feels settled, the formula stays. If it asks for another layer, we cut an active rather than add a cream.
