Oblique began as a paper pattern on a rented table. We still start every garment the same way: one shape, one fibre, one atelier that already knows the piece by name.
The studio
A quieter way to dress
We design in a loft above a courtyard in Lisbon and sew almost nothing under our own roof. Pattern, fit, and fabric decisions stay here. Construction travels to the same workshops we have used since the first drop.
The result is a short line: outerwear, knits, a few dresses, and the leather pieces that finish them. Nothing seasonal for the sake of it. Nothing you have to explain.

Our ateliers
Named rooms, not factories
We visit each workshop twice a year. The people who sew our clothes know the pattern numbers by heart, and we publish the city on every product page.

A mill-adjacent atelier that finishes our camel and ink overcoats — bound seams, corozo buttons, and a press that takes the afternoon.

A small cutting room that handles our summer sets. They wash, drape, and sew the playsuits and shirts that need a softer hand.
How we work

Fewer drops
Four collections a year. We would rather wait for the right fabric than fill a calendar.

Named makers
We work with twelve partner ateliers and publish where each piece is finished.

Repair, not replace
A loose button or split seam comes back to the studio. We mend every Oblique garment for free.
