How to layer without the little pills
Water first, oil second, cream last. A short order that keeps textures friendly.
Pilling is almost never a spoiled formula. It is two textures meeting before the first one has settled. Dewlume products are built to stack, but they still want a minute of air.
Keep the order boring
Water-light layers first: cleanser residue gone, then mist, then a serum such as Amber Drop or Wide Awake. Oils and creams come after. Sunscreen is last in the morning, always.
If you add a mask, use it before the cream, not after. Rose Clay wants a clean, slightly damp face and a thorough rinse.
Give each layer a pause
Count to twenty after a serum. That is enough for the water to leave and the lipids to stay. Then press Dawn Veil Cream. Rubbing in circles is how pills start.
If you still see little rolls, you are using too much of one layer. Halve the cream before you blame the serum.
