Small rituals that keep a remote studio in sync
Daily notes, Friday demos and the one meeting we refuse to cancel.
By Noor Haddad
Half of our team works from home on any given day, across three time zones. The work only stays coherent because of a few small habits we protect.
Every morning starts with a written note: what I'm doing, what I'm stuck on, what I need. It takes five minutes and saves hours of status meetings.
Rituals are cheap to keep and very expensive to lose.
On Fridays we demo whatever moved that week, polished or not. Seeing unfinished work early is the fastest way to catch a wrong turn.
And once a month we meet in person, no laptops, to talk about the work we want to be doing a year from now.
